Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care

Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care across the lifespan while helping educate future physicians and supporting clinic- and school-based research! This is an ideal opportunity for a clinician who values whole-person care, teaching, scholarship, and an interprofessional academic environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions; provide preventive care and lifestyle-focused patient education.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe therapies, coordinate referrals, and maintain timely EHR documentation.
  • Precept and mentor medical students, providing instruction, feedback, and clinical performance evaluation.
  • Participate in research, quality improvement, patient safety, and population health initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, faculty, researchers, and interprofessional team members.
Required Qualifications
  • MSN or DNP from an accredited program.
  • Current Utah APRN/NP license, or eligibility before start date.
  • National Family Nurse Practitioner certification through AANP or ANCC.
  • Active DEA registration, or eligibility before start date, and current BLS certification.
  • Primary care or family medicine experience with strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pediatrics, behavioral health, clinical teaching, research, lifestyle medicine, contemporary EHR systems, or value-based care is preferred.
Schedule & Location
  • Part-time, 0.5 FTE | Approximately 2–2.5 clinical days per week

  • Competitive compensation is offered based on experience and qualifications, prorated to 0.5 FTE.
