Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a Financial Aid Coordinator to provide exceptional service and personalized financial guidance to our prospective and current students!
This role is central to helping students navigate funding options, process aid applications, and maintain compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations—all while supporting financial wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Student Advising & Customer Service: Provide clear, accurate information on financial aid eligibility, Cost of Attendance, loan counseling, and repayment options. Advise students on funding opportunities including HPSP, NHSC, VA education benefits, and other service-based scholarships. Ensure students meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.
- Processing & Record Management: Accurately process aid applications, verify eligibility, resolve discrepancies, and maintain complete, compliant records across multiple systems. Oversee student loan processing (Elm Resource) and VA education benefits submissions. Generate reports to monitor service benchmarks and award accuracy.
- Financial Wellness Support: Assist with workshops, develop resources, track participation, and contribute to educational materials promoting financial literacy and responsible borrowing.
- Event & Departmental Support: Participate in key campus events such as Orientation, White Coat, and Graduation. Crosstrain to provide coverage during high-demand periods and collaborate on institutional priorities and accreditation efforts.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required (business, higher education administration, or education preferred).
- Experience: 1–3 years in financial aid administration, student affairs, or office administration; prior financial aid experience strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with financial aid systems preferred.
- Physical Requirements and Schedule
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to event setup and breakdown
- Capable of lifting and transporting event materials and supplies (up to 25 lbs.)
- Must be available for occasional evening and weekend events as needed
- Extended periods of computer work and sitting
- Standing, lifting, and walking during events
- Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of financial aid processes and regulations
- Excellent customer service and student advising abilities
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficient in managing confidential information and data
- Ability to explain complex financial information clearly
